Enters Southwest Market, Buys Albuquerque Terminal
(3rd Quarter 2011) --
Vecenergy, the energy division of the Vecellio
Group, continues to expand its presence in the bulk petroleum storage and
distribution industry. After purchasing two Chevron terminals earlier this year
in Alabama and Georgia, Vecenergy has acquired a third Chevron terminal, this
one a 150,000-barrel capacity facility in Albuquerque, NM.
Polymer, ‘GTR’ Tanks Expand Product Line At South Florida Materials
(3rd Quarter 2011) --
Opened as a liquid asphalt terminal in
2004, South Florida Materials Corp. added diesel tanks a few years later and
more recently, began offering Polymer Modified Asphalt (PMA) and Asphalt Rubber
Binder (commonly called “GTR” or ground tire rubber) to expand its product line.

Excellence recipient, presented this year’s Vecellio Lecture at
Virginia Tech. Hillman holds three patents for his invention of
the Hybrid-Composite Beam (HCB) used in bridge construction.

Secures Land, Permits For Large Port Manatee Terminal

Vecenergy
has turned to the Gulf Coast for further expansion into
Florida’s terminal market, securing the land and needed
permits to build a large terminal facility at Port Manatee, across from St.
Petersburg on the southern side of Tampa Bay.

Terminal In Second Year Of Successful Operation

In early 2010,
Vecenergy completed the first year of operation at its 1.35-million barrel
petroleum terminal at Port Everglades in South Florida. The facility is operated
under an exclusive agreement with Valero Energy Corporation.
